Client Charter Status
Granta is registered as a member of the Construction Clients Charter - a government initiative designed to improve the construction industry's overall efficiency and effectiveness in delivering what the construction client requires. Registering for the Charter commits the Society to effecting continuous improvements with measurement as its basis. It encourages improved performance from our construction projects and raises the standards in the quality of the products through improvements in the design, quality, delivery and operation of constructed facilities. There are four main drivers for change: leadership and client focus, product team integration, quality and people. The main benefits Granta anticipates that the industry will deliver are: - Major reductions in whole life costs.
- Substantial improvements in functional efficiency
- A quality environment for end users
- A product which respects its local environment and community
- Reduced construction time
- Improved predictability on budgets and time
- Reduced defects on handover and during use
- Recognition by the supply side of Charter Clients as best practice practitioners
- Elimination of inefficiency and waste in the design and construction process
- Improved performance in respect of sustainable construction
In addition to the above, the Charter provides a Toolkit to allow Charter Clients to measure/benchmark their own performance against other Charter Client groups and encourages them to use national Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of their own performance improvement in terms of completed projects.
