Granta Housing Society Ltd Care and Supported Housing

Granta Housing Society is a leading provider of Care and Supported Housing Schemes in the Eastern Region and has been so for over 25 years. Its range of accommodation includes both shared and self-contained housing.

The Society was one of the first Housing Associations in the Eastern region to develop specialist accommodation for people needing care and support and has currently over 450 units of accommodation.

Models of service include Registered Care Homes, Registered Nursing Homes, Supported Housing, Floating Support and Outreach follow up service.

The level of intervention ranges according to the support and care needs of service users but can vary from a couple of hours a week to 24-hour staff cover. An emergency on-call service is available for all schemes.

Granta aims to make a positive difference to people's lives by using the principles of Valuing People, Rights, Choice, Inclusion and Independence enabling self-determination, personal development and fulfilment.

New Opportunities/Developments

We strive to help our service users develop life skills to live full and independent lives within the community. External inspection and funding agencies regularly note how committed staff are in working to develop and enhance the opportunities for involvement, choice and variety in the lives of our service users, whilst maintaining appropriate standards of privacy and dignity.

The Society has two new Schemes in development and has looked to improve its existing services by re-developing and re-modelling to enable improved standards of accommodation and service provision to be attained.
