Floating Support

Granta Housing Society Limited manage floating support services for 10 clients living in the community in the Southend area. All these clients have tenancies with either private landlords or Southend Borough Council, and have a mild to moderate learning difficulty. They each receive three hours support per week, and this is funded through Supporting People payments. This support includes help with tenancy management; paying bills; organising leisure pursuits; accessing community facilities and financial management. This scheme has been very successful, and enables clients to maintain their independence in their own homes.
